voyager?

That is unusual. Was there any electrical oddities around when the unit went amiss? A major swing in the incoming power may have caused the control to fail out temporarily.
The only other thing that might be a possibility is that the tank sensor (eco) is beginning to fail. I have seen them cause similar results, but not intermittantly. Usually when an ECO fails, the unit will always have a disturbed display or just will not operate.

    Voyager ?

went 21/2 hr one way to look at a problem job and an interesting thing I've never seen.
One of the hunters ask where the shutoff switch was and then flipoff a light switch. Yep that's it. Back on and the readout was flashing unusual stuff. A 7,h,c,and o. maybe not that order. even did it when it refired.
Reset it a short time later and everything seems o.k.

So what's up? Not in my book.

    Thanks
    p.s. setting my firstT50 tommorow.

Simple it is wired in to the light sw.

The micro processor can be powered down for 9999 years and will retain its program. I would re wire it to have its own 15amp line.
Curious waht was the complaint that took you there? No hot water?

    system wasn't finished

One stat didn't work. Had continuity(nail?).

    Four stats not installed.

Wasn't getting warm enough. See above.

Vent got blocked by snow last year.

    Poor workmanship, which explains above.

And can you look at this while your here. Faucet handles turned wrong way, forgot to roughin for toilet, didn't finished installing dishwasher,no dryer vent, and did I say poor workmanship and peoples skills. Which explains above.

    Thanks!
