Just installed a PI-199 Boiler fires off with a little flutter but runs through it cycle great until it starts to modulate down. The burner modulates down to the point the burner starts to flutter and the burner shuts down. Then the cycle starts over. Fires off fine modulates down starts to flutter burner is only partly burning at low fire and shuts down and starts again. Any help ? Not shutting down on limit. I think the flame sencer is sencing on flame.

You should call peerless and ask how to preform this proceedure. If they can not tell you have there tech support call me or HTP tech support for the details.0 -

Can you help him out with some toll free numbers, Jeff?
Why waste his time calling Peerless when you made the boiler?

Lots of tolk but very little help. Seems to be the thing now days . How do you fix the problem . Any one know0 -
Fred,
I have had the same problem with Pinnacles before! Just make sure the CO going out that chimney is where Peerless wants it, about 20 PPM. On a few we have had to make them run at a little higher CO about 45 PPM to make the rumble stop?

Hmmmmm.......
Fred, Alan... is there a problem here that we don't know about? My perspective is that there is some bad blood somewhere or you just plain have forgotten your manners.
Jeff (I believe) was trying to facilitate communication with the agents that the HO or contractor purchased the unit from. If Fred is the installing contractor, wouldn't that be a great place to start?
If a competing contractor bought a boiler from a wholesaler and couldn't make it work, should YOU post the answer on this website right away, or are you going to suggest he contact the selling agent and get the appropriate people on site to help? I believe it is called protocol. Give the installing contractor a chance to learn from his error (however minor) and correct it. I have been afforded that opportunity several times.
I normally would let these comments slide, but really, the comment about "A lot of talk, but no help" isn't necessary.
I met Jeff Cook at Wetstock III in Denver, I believe that is where I met Alan Forbes for the first time as well. Jeff did not strike me as the type to maliciously withhold information. Does he seem that way to any of you? Why else would he be on this forum to offer help?
If I am out of line here, please let me know. It seems some of you out there may have forgotten your manners, or worse, forgotten where you have came from and that you too are standing on the "hydronic shoulders" of those who have gone on before us.

I read
Alan's comments the same way Paul but he has given so much great advice here that I was confused by it. Hopefully he'll explain.
I agree with Jeff's tact and also that the "lot of talk....." comment is completely out of line.
It is fascinating the folks that will seek advice here even before trying the installer of wholesaler.

Manners
Sorry if I offended anyone; I was just being candid.
