We will win this Series and avenge the loss in 1967. That was back in the days when week-day games were played in daylight!!!!!!!! I remember Jim Lonborg pitching game 7 on two days rest. Ken Coleman said "no one in a losing effort ever stood so tall"

I also remember
Watching part of the city burn down during the riot in 1967, and then cheering as the Tigers beat the Cards in 1968, when blacks and whites became "brothers" again. Funny how a winning team can bond a community, eh?0 -
