    Damon the Demon

Wonder how many Johnny Damon voodoo dolls will be on sale in the Bronx today. Darn guy took some drama out of it (Note: I said "some" -- still a lot of drama).

My only question -- how much did Fox Sports pay Francona to put in Pedro for one inning? What was up with that??? All it did was incite Yankee fans and kick up the drama. Hmmm.

Now, let's feed some of that positive Karma to the Cards!

    Makes no difference

weather its the Cards or Houston. Hopefully Houston will put Boston out of my misery. However, I will give credit where its due to Houston for coming back from two games down to make it a series. ANYBODY BUT BOSTON !!!!! Can you say Bill Buckner????? It was a loooooong walk to the subway last night.

    Congrats to Beantown

I'm pulling for you to break the curse. My college room mate was from Boston. Every time the sox have gotten close I've sent him a sympathy card because i knew he was gonna get his heart broke yet again. This year may be the year. I called him and he was non commital, but i know it's all an act. He just don't want to get his hopes up just to have someone do a mexican hat dance all over them. Good Luck Boston. I really hope you finish it. WW

All that money spent and you LOST !!!

Never before has a team done what the SOX did last night, come on give em credit !!

It was a great series and this time it went our way.

John ... I will be more than HAPPY to buy you a Pedro or Schilling shirt. I was going to be mad at you but instead I will understand your being misguided. You've been deluded by the Evil Empire. Money corrupts, I know John. I'll still be your friend.

PS: My heart did stop when Pedro was in.

    Mine started

beating again when his pitches got up to 96 MPH.

We, life long Sox fans, know better than to count our chickens yadda, yadda, yadda. We also enjoy one win, one series at a time.

This one is especially sweet and can be enjoyed for many years. Why? Because, and this is not sour grapes or gloating, just reality for Sox fans, win or lose the Yankees will have to use our old refrain "WAIT TILL NEXT YEAR".

    GO SOX.

    My favorite teams:

    Tigers

    Cardinals

    Red Sox

Tigers last won in '84, Cards in '85, Red Sox in '18. They get my sympathy vote UNTIL they win it all. (And I'll still like them after that, too.)

A Schilling jersey? Sure, he's my new hero.

We had 30 wild teenagers in our home last night ((the cross country team for the annual pasta carb-building (eat your heart out Secor!) party before the last season race that's today.

The TV was on, but no sound as the kids had taken control away from the parents and were blasting "music" at a level that could be head from space. Amazing how quiet a large crowd can get in an instant when a grand slam is hit and then how raucus the crowd can be when watching the reply to the strains of some deep thumping rap "artist". They didn't leave till the eighth and I nodded off in the ninth. Congrats to Bean Town - they fought their way back with heart & spirit. What a series - sports that keeps you on the edge of your seat.

    Sox win!!!

In My mind Schilling is the hero. It was great to see Belhorn and Damon get hitting. but what he did the other night at his age on that nasty ankle that was true grit.

    Question is.........

Did he ruin himself to the point where he won't be able to pitch for the nest series?

    Misery has company

I Cant stand the thought of the Rot Sox in the big series. I've been hiding all day with the cell off. My only salvation will be when Pettite and Clemmons keep the dreaded Boston curse alive. Thats the ONLY reason to watch now. I wasnt rooting for the Yankees, I was rooting AGAINST the Red Sox. ANYBODY but Boston!!!! My favorite player in all of history is Mookie Wilson. Sorry Scott, but the only one getting credit where its due will be you. I dont know how you hung in for 85 years. This much I will say, I hope you enjoy watching the World Series as much as I do when my team is in( and its been a REAL long wait) I cant say who I actually root for out of fear if eternal abuse at the hands of fellow wallies(but its the other NY team ). Enjoy the series and break out the Sam Adams!
  • You're a fan of \" the other NY team \"

and actually wanted the Yankees to win ? Sorry , I mean you wanted Boston to lose ? Being a lifelong true Mets fan , I can honestly say I was rooting for the Sox all the way . I hear ya about keeping our favorite team a secret . Mookie was a cool . What about Kingman ?

Your "other" Boston favorite is gonna go down big time in 12 days...hee hee. Anyway. Congrats....the Sox deserved it...they stayed hungry and wanted it more than the yanks. They were hard fought victories and you guys earned them. Mad Dog

    As the sign says

    " Why Not Us "...

The entire Red Sox Nation is hoping to Not get our hearts broken again.

If the Sox win the world series, you may see alot of deaths, because SO many older folks will let go because " I can die in peace now, knowing the Red Sox have won the World Series " :)

    Actually Scott

I dont think it will be the AARP bunch. Better make a reservation for the nearest highest building ledge. Its gonna be awfully crowded up there. The line should move fast though. I'm wanting Cards in four. Does anyone know why Cardinals fly upside-down over Fenway????

    It's going seven

Strap in and hold on -- could be one the best series in recent years. I think Manny is the key here. If he wakes up it'll be lights out. Sox in seven.

wer'nt you the one who was calling for Yankees in Four ?

Good Call, right on the money :)

We'll see.. The Sox have been loosing the big one since before I was born, its not like we are not ready for the outcome, but as Every Red Sox Fan say " This could be the Year "

    Hey Yankee fans

How's it feel to be a Red Sox fan...

Maybe it's the Yankees turn to go 100 years without a title!!
