Need recomendations for new steam boiler

We have to replace an old Weil-Mclain oil fired steam boiler, with a tankless coil, for a 3 story, 6 family, semi-attached brick building.
Seriously considering converting to gas, since we will also be installing gas dryers for a new laundry room in basement.
Old burner is firing at 3.2 gal/hr. Existing radiation of 1050 sq. ft.
I WOULD GREATLY APPRECIATE YOUR ADVICE/OPINION:
Which Boiler and Burner manufacturers should I consider?
Is there a better way to provide domestic hot water?(especially since we will also have 2 washing machines)
Would you convert to gas?
Many Thanks!

new boiler
Nothing wrong with a Weil. they still make a great steam boiler. I would stay with oil as it is still your best heat source as far as BTU content. You can't beat an indirect hot water heater for making lots of hot water. Consult a good heating pro to explore all your options.

Many good boilers out there
What counts most is the installation. Try the Find a Professional page of this site to locate someone near you.
Right now, oil is cheaper per BTU than gas, so I would stay with oil. However, I believe Burnham and others supply boilers in the size you need that can burn either fuel. This would let you switch fuels if you wish, by simply changing the burner and fuel supply piping.
