Wiring in a zone valve for closed loop system

I have Burnham RSA Boiler, Honeywell L8124 Relay. Closed, single zone heating system. Taco valve wired into honeywell thermostat with 24v Transformer. For some reason, it is not pulling hot water through heating system. I think I have it wired right based on instructions, but instructions don't say to use ZR and ZC terminals on Relay. Any suggestions?? Do I need the zone valve since I only have one zone... can I bypass it and heat my house with thermostat control?

    Abandon the zone valve

The boiler itself should be equipped to simply take its queue from the thermostat, start the burner (as the water temperature dictates) and start the pump. Voila'

Do I still need the 24V or do I go direct?

Thanks Kent, Do I still need to wire the thermostat to the 24V transformer, then to the boiler, or does it just go direct to the boiler?

    Stat to TT

The stat should go to TT on the L8124. This is a triple aquastat with the high limit included. you want to boiler to feed from the BB terminals so the high limit will shut off the burner on an overheat condition. The wiring diagram under the control cover should show you the correct way. If you go to the HW website you'll need the next letter like L8124 A, B, C, E G or L to see what to do.
  • forget zone valve

take the zone valve out.if it is one zone just use the circulator and flow check.wire the thermostat to TT on aguastat wire the circulator to C1 and C2.No transformer needed promblem solved good luck.
