Powervent ?

I have 2 questions on a Powervent that I would appreciate any input on. It is a Tjernlund SS2 that I opened up to clean. #1) The set screw on the motor shaft holding the impeller turned out about 4 turns and stopped, the impeller would not pull off the motor shaft. Was it frozen in place or is it threaded onto the shaft? It didn't look threaded
and it wasn't dirty enough to break something and have to chase down parts. I cleaned it in the housing.Next time may be a different story.
#2) Motor was clean and everything moved nicely but it had a strange howling to it. (self lube motor) The howling was smooth and would have sounded natural if you didn't know it wasn't suppose to be there. It didn't alter from before to after cleaning. Natural wear? on it's way out? any thought would be helpful.
Thanks ROOKIE

the ss2 is a self cleaning stainless steel blower wheel
and needs very little service unless the L.E.D light on the controller went on. id do a basic inspection and leave it
also tjernlund has a very good tech support if you need help with there Venter they can help you over the phone they know how it's made Toll Free: 800-255-4208
howling noise could be a bad bushing starting to ware out
there could be that there is to much play in the armature of the motor I always say use oil any time you see bushings
from day one. this will make the motor last a lot longer
hope that helps0 -
Thanks
I was going to give them a call in the AM. Do you happen to know if there is suppose to be a gasket or seal between the
vent housing and the inlet assembly? There was a crud build up there but it almost looked like a round ring of lent build up instead of a gasket. Dryer is about 7' away. The manual was there but shows no gasket.

Like hearing a bad song and having it stick in your head all day I guess. Yesterday AM I got off I-95 and got on
RT-1 N. in N.H. and I looked to the right and there was a
custom casket company that sells to the public. They had a small closed utility trailer lettered custom caskets, I think for deliveries. Must have stuck with me all day. LOL0 -
I just couldn't help myself!!!!0
