    hardwood flooring over radiant slab

Hello,I am contemplating installing solid hardwood flooring (3/4")over a concrete slab in a new home. This house will be built with ICF's all the way, very good windows, etc. Will I run into severe "movement" problems by using radiant in the slab?I am hoping to be able to run lower slab temperatures with a super insulated house. Will I have to use a thinner or engineered hardwood flooring? Are wood "sleepers" imbedded in the concrete the best way to attach the flooring?By the way,our humidity is low almost all the time in my climate. Any experience/advice on this ?? thank you

  • low heat loads are low problems for wood floors. If you can, a floating floor is the best bet though.

Under the slab will be a conventional I joist floor, covered in plywood with lots of insulation underneath.
