radiator valves

We are looking for a "nice" radiator valve- 1" angle- is there sucha thing without getting into the specialty line where price is paralyzing to regular folks. Or do we get a regular $20 cast brass, have it plated and I'll make my own handle. Same with the union on the return side. We have one old beauty radiator that is front and center so we want it to look nice but within reason. The original valve is worn out and can not be resurrected Our system is hot water rather than steam. Any advice on brands or ideas, I'd appreciate. Maybe some "new" antique valve on someone's shelf. . . ?
