Time for Wallies (and all U.S. and Canadian HVACR contractors) to start polishing up their resumes and cleaning up the dust bunnies in the shop -- The News is coming calling. Well, we'll come calling if the contractors are chosen for the now-famous "Best Contractor to Work For" contest sponsored by The Air Conditioning, Heating & Refrigeration News.
Last year, one contractor group claimed FOUR out of the seven winners. They greatly increased the odds of their members winning by PROMOTING the heck out of this contest. It is a real feather in the cap of the winners, both for employee pride and "bragging rights."
Complete details are in this week's issue of The News (10/11/04) and entry forms can be submitted (by employees only) to www.achrnews.com. Contractors cannot nominate themselves -- employees must do that. (But the employers are encouraged to "nudge" employees.)
What are you waiting for? Isn't it time some hydronics people won this contest, especially Wallies? (No, I can't be bought, sorry.)
