Looking at one of your articles on Tech Topics...I read, that a steam rad puts out 240 BTU per square foot at 70 room temp....If the room is colder, it puts out more...and if warmer it puts out less....So, should I keep the room at 70 to get "the most out of my EDR"

EDR
is the surface area. The Deadmen defined a reference point by saying that when there is 70-degree air on the outside and 215-degree fluid on the inside (steam or water) then each square foot EDR will give off 240 BTUH. If you change either the inside or outside condition of the radiator the output will vary. It's just a reference point, Jeff.Retired and loving it.0 -
Thanks....
for your reply. It just seems "funny" that my steam system heats the house most comfortably at about 70.0
