FoamBoard Research

Hello Wallies, I know there has been plenty of talk on The Wall between using insulating tarp and foam board. The question is, which foam board would you recommend in installing PEX for under slab aplications for radiant heat? 2" Pink board(open cell) or the 2" White (styro closed cell) and any comments you might have. Thank You

If Foam... and underground...
... then extruded Polystyrene (XPS) is a good choice. Very little H2O absorption, strong, backfillable. Can be borated in insect-prone areas. Can feature drain channels, etc. to help drain foundation walls.

I believe Dow "blueboard" is pretty much the standard.
