new ultra 155

hi,

I would like to put the exhaust vent in an unobtrusive spot and hide it behind some kind of shrub.

if i put it near my house, how far should i place it so that exhaust doesn't stain my vinyl siding? should i put some kind of L on the top of the pipe to divert it away? i'm using 3" s40 pvc. Is there a tasteful looking cap/diffuser i can use? Will the exhaust kill any shrub i put there?

-Dave

ps:

next questions will be about heating zones, zone valves, and other stuff..

    venting the ultra 155

the basement in the house for this installation ends less than a foot from grade. that means that any pipe that came out of the wall could only be a foot off the ground. my original plan was to put in an elbow, and have the pipe go up 3 feet to be above the snow line, then terminate there. but i was told that's against code. so what do i do instead?
