Hello Guys. I need another valuable advice from you.
Here is the situation.
5 Story building condominium.
Total of 22 apartments.
First 3 floors have a good water preasure.
Floor 4 has little preasure.
Floor 5 almost has no water.
Landlord asked me to install the pump to bring the preasure up. Usualy I do residential stuff and I have never delt with that kind of comersial equipment.
Every apartment has a regular bathroom, kitchen dish washer and a laudry room. Let's say we need 5 gallons per minute for each appartment. time 22 appartmens = 110 gpm
What kind of pump should I use for this? Maybe there is a special stuff that I don't know about. Is there some kind of well pump but much bigger that can be used for multimple appartmens?
The water line from the street is about 2 and 1/2 inches. I told a LandLord to check with the city, in case the preasure is good but the volume is low. But if the preasure is low then we definetely need a pump.
So please, if you can help me with this.
Thanks.

Before you spend money on pumps...
What is the static (no water running in the bldg)water pressure on the first floor. How tall is the building?
What part of the country do you hail from?
If and when you do have to buy a booster station, contact Grundfos. They have packaged systems set up specifically for your system, and they use VARIABLE SPEED motor controllers... What a technolgy THAT is.
