Lennox Furnace Model number 80mgf2-60a-2

Hi All,

I was on a service call on this unit where the furnace cycles on and off on the pressure switch. I jumpered the PS
as soon as the furnace started and it ran normal until tstat satified. I recall Lennox had a kit (new PS and ventor, where the sensing tube is at the bottom of ventor)replacement for the G24 series. Is this furnace similar to the G24 and if so is the replacement the fix?

Thanks in advance, Roy

What is the pressure at the switch when the furnace is running pre-purge and when it is firing? Maybe the inducer isn't up to speed.

Check to be sure theere are no blockages in the flue, vent or exhaust area. Check for moisture in the press. switch or tubing. If a condensing furnace, check for condensate area restrictions.

G24 and 80MGF use the same kits

you just have to get the appropriate kit for your size furnace.

Just to be sure, the 80 MGF your working on, does it have a black painted housing on the inducer? If so, then you need the Pressure switch kit, which does include the pressure switch, Inducer motor, and gaskets.
