Gravity Overheat Loop route

The Tarm wood boiler I am piping requires a gravity flow overheat loop to dump heat in case of power outage with fire still lit. At their schematics page http://woodboilers.com/piping-layouts.asp this overheat loop can be seen returning up-stream of a circulator (C-3). Shouldn't this loop be returned downstream from this circulator, if the gravity flow is to be unobstructed?
Could this circulator be installed in an alternate location in the primary loop?
Could this circulator be installed in an alternate location in the primary loop?

The
outlined piping is effective for a "dump" zone.I would dump to as a many zones as possible.
