newly added steam radiator, last to heat
chilly
Member Posts: 43
I just had a kitchen remodeled and added a bathroom. A new line was run out to the bathroom for a small radiator. It's a one pipe system.
Now that it's getting cooler, the heat comes on and the boilers in the rest of the house are hissing madly and the new radtiator is still cold. It eventually gets warm after some banging and clanging, but it's the last one to see any heat.
The line was added to the end of the main line and then run through a joist to the new "basement" of the addition. It takes about 20 feet of pipe to get from the main to the radiator.
I've insulated the pipe and checked the pitch.
Anything else I can try? or do I need professional help?
