Honeywell aquastat temp setting

make sure the high limit is set higher than operator or you will operate on a low fixed differential (high limit can be 2F Diff). if the boiler is cycling every few minutes, the high limit is over riding operator.
if honeywell controls are not accurate enough at high temp, I wouldn't trust them for low temp either then.

Honeywell aquastat temp setting
I am wondering if the temp on my aquastat is correct. It is 165/190 with 15 degree differential. The owners manual says it can be set higher, something like 220/180. The technician who cleans and services the boiler says that is wrong because the honeywell aquastats are not accurate enough to control temps that high. Could I set it lower than 165/190 and still get good heating? I live in CT and it gets real cold in the winter.Thanks!0 -
Sorry, but I dont understand what you mean by the high limit set higher than operator on a low fixed differential. Can you explain in laymans terms?Thanks0
