using a Grundfos with the flanges in a different position? Could this move your motor to a safer location?

Or that wrap that automotive stores sell for wrapping tube style exhaust headers?

    wondering

Anyone have any idea how much external heat a Taco 007 can withstand before it is damaged? I have a system I need to install and the only place to install the circ is close to a vent for a wood furnace. The pipe is after the damper so it shouldn't be blistering but....

    Could you

just build a heat shield around it. Doesn't take much of an air gap to drop the temperature. Similar to how B vent works.

A simple piece of 4" galv vent pipe around the motor would make a big difference.

Polish the outside so it reflects the radiant energy, also :)

    if lucky

I may have half an inch from the vent pipe. I have tried to think up every possible angle and there is no place else to put it. Racking my brain's trying to find another way but....... It's a 12" vent pipe from a HUGE old woodstove and I'm not even sure how often it's used or how hot it get's. Just really hate to have to return to replace the circ if it does damage it..

    the motor

itself will be turned away from the vent pipe. Just the flanges will be close. I'm just worried the gasket's will dry out and start to leak. Or do damage internally. Never run into one that leave's me no place to go...It will actually end up with the lower flange close to it and then the circ body rising above it with the motor facing away.
