Hydrolevel LWCO

My Burnham V7 has a Hydrolevel CG450 low water cut off. It has a feature that shuts the burner off for 90 seconds every 10 minutes of "on" time , in case of a foaming condition or other water problem ( if you don't have a problem you still have to live with this feature ).
Questions :
1)Isn't the "ideal " burner run time about 20 min ?
2)Should I throw this thing in the trash and replace it with (brand name + model here ) , or will it make no great difference in the big picture of system performance or efficiency ?

I've been reading about 1 pipe system problems ( and finishing my insulation on my system piping ), I didn't even pay attention to the led on the damn cut off. Nope , went right for the Hoffman 75's and cleaned them ( glad the supply houses were closed today , lol ). I get like 19 minutes run time to cut out press , with rads getting hot and no air vent noise . Thaks for any and all advice.

    Leave it alone,

if you check it the most commonly used cutoff out there now. The only time I've seen it pulled off is by people who don't know, FACT!

Well , it's nice to hear a confident sounding opinion in favor of me not spending money. But what about my 20 minute question ? Do you think I should buy a television that shuts off every 10 minutes because there might be an electrical storm ?
Im sure your right to say to leave it alone , but it is stepping on my burn time , I'm trying to bring about a change of state and shutting the burner off is not helping to achieve that.

If you watch one of these

run, through a window in a boiler, connected to a good, clean properly piped and operating system they work without losing the steam head. I use a video of that in my steam seminar and have a boiler on a trailer to really back it up!

The 20 minutes is theoretical and for an optimum run on a design day. If your system is like most, it's oversized and the 'SmartCycle' is not going to hurt anything.

Don't read everything in books as Gospel, there is a reality and keep in mind boilers and burners can't read! ;-)

Well , since I don't have the resources to debate over your last post , I'll leave it alone , for now , lol. Seriously , a demonstration boiler , thats wild. Guess we can always talk variable frequency drives , lol. Thanks for advice.
