We have been working on this one since July 2003. We will be doing the start up next week. The system consists of 2 Vitodens (w/ Cascade) in the main house and 1 Vitodens in the pool house, 2 Vitocell tanks, Radiant on the first 3 levels, 9 Carrier A/C systems, snowmelt, pool heat, humidification and ventilation. -DF

Hi Cliff,

We used Carrier 38HDC commercial units because of the long linesets. Several were close to 150' long. These units allow for up to 200' lineset runs. I am using eight Carrier FK air variable speed air handlers and one Pavilionair high velocity air handler. On some of my newer projects, we are using chillers to avoid the clutter of multiple A/C condensers outside the house. -DF

Hard to believe it's in the same town I work in. I remember you stating in previous posts that this job was in DC. I will be showing these pics to my class Tuesday night. I asked Warren to give me a classroom with a projection screen and an internet connection and he came through. I showed them your pics on the Wall from the Glen Road job and they were astounded. All but one of them are in forced air companys and the one that does hydronics is mainly in commercial. They had no idea what hydronic could do. What chillers are you using? I've been toying with the idea for a while, but really lack the engineering experience, or the time to get it. See you around. WW
