    Here's a couple more links.

    The technical library at Testo.com

    http://www.testo.de/US/en/site/information/

    http://www.testo.de/ZZ/en/site/information/

Also, if you have specific questions, you can contact Rudy Leatherman of Bacharach @ rudy@eurekanet.com or Jim Davis of National Comfort Institute (N.C.I.) @ captainco7@aol.com or jimd@ncinstitute.com

One thing tho, please ask your questions here first so that we may all learn (and most likely Rudy or Jim will see your question here and answer it)before asking privately.

    Hey Glenn

Thanks for jumping in here, I've been on the road for the past month+, it's tough to keep up.

Amazing how important this stuff is - was reminded again today while doing a 'tune and clean' on an atmospheric gas furnace for a landlord here in town. Ran a test, 4% O2, 700+ ppm CO air free and no draft, backdrafting like crazy. He had me check it 5 years ago, everything was just fine.

I pulled the vent connector down and found it completely plugged - three dead birds and a bunch of 'stuff'.

Emailed him the photos below (along with an invoice), my guess is that he will be having me check the other side of this duplex and several other rentals.

The really cool thing was that I had my 14 year old daughter help me out with this job, gave her a quick lesson on venting and combustion - she caught right on!!!

    Hey Rudy.

Glad to help. Good to here your busy. Nice catch on the birds. I just had an oil furnace last week that there was a paw sticking out of the barometric damper, racoon again I think, but couldn't tell for sure.

Buy the way, I'll be seeing you on Tuesday in McHenry, at G.W. Berkheimer, and I'm bringing one of my co-tech's with me. See you then.

    Tim, I am SO sorry,

As I wrote my posts I knew I was forgetting somebody. Total brain fart on my part. Can't believe I forgot to mention you.

    Sorry Glenn

I won't be seeing you in McHenry this week. I'm headed to the show in Boston.

You will have the opportunity to hang with my good buddy Ken Kimball. Make sure you introduce yourself, you'll enjoy meeting him!
  • Glenn, that is not

a problem. I have been known to forget a few things in my life, now where did I put my glasses, Oh yeh they are on top of my head. Have a good day. See you in the chat room next week, that is if we can get it up and running without a glitch.
