The problem with heat exchangers around pools is that all too often, the combustion air is drawn from around the pool area. Chlorine will eventually eat a heat exchanger alive (kinda makes you wonder about us!) If you have a system totally isolated from the pool (taking combustion air from elsewhere), you should get more life out of your heat exchanger.

I guess I should have been more clear, I mean for heating swimming pool water from a boiler.

Well, the wall may prove me wrong, but I guess I'd feel safe with cast iron. You'd still have fits if the combustion air is drawn from around the pool.

if it is a salt water pool - you MUST use titanium. Otherwise a stainless will suffice.

    I like the Seces-Pol Line (B-Series)

whatever you do - DO NOT use cast iron... or anything close to ferrous.

    cheers!

    I think he is looking

for an indirect type of heat exchanger to run off a boiler in another location? I have used the Triangle Tube and Weil Mclain, possibly the same brand.
