Fuse for Logamatic 2107

Anyone know where one can get a spare fuse for the Buderus Logamatic 2107? I just want to keep a spare on hand in case of an emergency.

The labeling on the unit states 10AT, but I can't find any specs in the literature that came with the unit.
I'm assuming that it's a 10Amp fuse but don't know the correct size (it's likely to be metric 5x20mm), or whether it's a fast-acting, or slow-blow, or time-delay.

Radio Shack has an assortment, but no 10AT, and no 5x20mm rated for 10Amps (6.3A max for 5x20mm slow-blow, and 5A max for fast-acting).

Cut the wires of the back of the fuse holder and substitute a commonly available type fuse of the SAME amperage using a standard fuse holder.

AHEM!! Do this at your own risk. Undoubtedly, Buderus would not approve. The first time I did it was when the loco, I mean local, Buderus distributor told me they didn't have any in stock and I would have to wait until they placed another parts order. At that time it was January and their next parts order wasn't for two weeks.
Thankfully that distributor is out of the picture. Went bankrupt. I wonder why??

The fact that the nearest distributor for Buderus is over 100 miles away is still a thorn in my backside.

    10AT Fuse

Perhaps this is the only option in an emergency, on the other hand, I'm trying to avoid such a situation by having a couple of spares on hand prior to actually needing them. Hopefully Joe from Buderus will be able to point to the appropriate fuse specs, or better yet, to a local source that wouldn't mind selling a few.

    Logamatic Fuse

The main fuse for the Logamatic is a ten amp slow burn fuse. The fuse is ten milimeters (.393 inches) long. Buderus has these fuses in stock and can ship within a day.We do not have a minimun order for our distributors so they could order one fuse (hopefully they would order more!)
In the past Radio Shack or an electric supply house has been a source for a repalcement fuse. The use of a lower amp fuse would be ok till the proper fuse can be obtained.

    Thanks -

Is the 10mm length the total length of the fuse including the metallic end-caps on the fuse? I found a European reference for the number listed on the front on the 2107 being "10AT" which indicates it is 5x20mm in size. A 5x20mm fuse has a ceramic/glass body size of 10mm, but has a total length of 20mm when measuring the fuse from end-to-end.

    I did pick up a spare 5x20mm 6.3A slow-blow from radio shack,
but am not sure what the normal current draw of the unit is. Any idea whether 6.3A is sufficient under normal conditions?

    Fuse length

OOPS - I made a mistake - it is 20mm long - SORRY didn't read the ruler right!!!

The fuse we offer is rated at 10amps. I would not exceed a 10amp fuse. I have heard of people using the 6amp fuse. Depending on the amp draw of the burner and circulator (if wired into the heat terminal #61 and #63 - constant circulation), the 6amp fuse may be able to get you by.

I've picked them up at auto parts stores in the past.
