retrofit radiant under antique flooring

Does anyone out there see a problem in retrofitting a radiant system under an 1860s yellow pine floor? There is no subfloor, as with many of these older houses, just the finished floor nailed on the 16 to the joists. I was going to use the RTI or Wirsbo track and just screw directly to the underside of the floor (predrilling of course). I'm worried about expansion/contraction issues on an original floor which is in pretty good shape. Warn me now lest I do something stupid.

Is it
T&G flooring? How thick?
In the barn I retrofitted for my inlaws I used transfer plates under an old 40's vintage barn hay loft 3/4" T&G yellow pine floor. 6 years of radiant heat and no problems.
Make sure you do a load calc to see what type of output you need from that floor. I rather see you use some supplemental baseboard or panel radiators if the required floor temperature is pushing the limit to meet the load.
Keep in mind controlling the humidity in the space will have a lot to do with shrinkage and wood movement. T&G joints in the flooring will accomodate some movement, the less the better
