Does anyone know of a condensing oil boiler with output around 150m that I can obtain in this country?

    Looked at the Monitor FCX?

The FCX has a net output of something like 70kBTU. They only come in one size, so you'd have to buy two. I don't think this would be a bad thing, considering how FCX does not modulate the way most condensing gas boilers do. Thus, you could stage 2 and get some rudimentary "modulation".

The only issue as I see it is that every oil professional I have spoken to swears off the use of oil-burning condensing appliances in the US due to the high levels of contamination allowed in US fuels. This is one reason we don't see the Vitoplus or VitolaPlus over here, I am told.

In the coming years, the EPA may succeed restricting the the allowable sulfur conatmination in heating oil further. However, that depends largely on what administration will be in charge during that time, so you cannot plan for it.

Someday, I may have the opportunity to smuggle a secondary HX for the Vitola into this country... but only once it makes sense.

    condensing oil

Try using on road diesel or kerosene which have lower Sulfur content than standard #2. If I was using a Monitor, I would do just this even with the higher cost per gallon.

Yes, I was looking at the Monitor FCX. Do you have an idea of its cost? Also, can the Monitor handle higher sulfur?

    OK for #2, but

probbly need a good cleaning once a year or more. I think they list for over $5K, so getting 2 doesn't seem worth the extra efficency and cost of maintenance. A good 3-pass boiler like Buderus, Biasi, Viessmann, Crown Freeport sound like better deals with their high 80% AFUE's.
