CAN A RAD BE PIPED TO ANOTHER RAD?

Shift your caps lock off. No need to shout. It is not reccomended to "series connect" two radiators together. Too much restriction to overcome. They should originate from the supply and return piping. With one so small you can probably get away w' doing it. The bleeder vents on the side of the rads should be manually bled. The ells and fittings should not be a problem.

CAN A RAD BE PIPED TO ANOTHER RAD?

    HELLO,

I'VE ADDED A NEW BEDROOM ON THE SECOND FLOOR. VIA A HEATSCALE IT HAS BEEN DETERMINED THAT ROOM NEEDS A 10,000 BTU RADIATOR. MY QUESTION IS:
CAN THEY RUN THE NEW PIPES TO THE NEW RAD FROM AN EXISTING RAD IN AN ADJACENT ROOM, OR DOES THE NEW RAD HAVE TO BE FED FROM THE MAIN LOOP? ALSO, IF THESE RADS DO SHARE, WILL NEW ELBOW JOINTS FROM THE ADJACENT ROOM, AND THE DISTANCE BETWEEN THEM, ALLOW FLOW? THE REASON I'M ASKING IS BECAUSE THE ADJACENT VERY SMALL BEDROOM HAS ALWAYS BEEN TOO HOT, AND I THOUGHT SHARING MIGHT HELP THE SMALLER BEDROOM TO NOT BE AS HOT IF WE RAN THE SMALL ROOM'S FEED TO THE NEW RAD FIRST, AND THEN BACK TO THE RAD IN THE SMALLER ROOM SECOND. IS IT POSSIBLE TO HAVE AIRLOCK AT THESE NEW 90 DEGREE ELBOWS? HOW DOES HOT WATER FLOW UP AND THROUGH A RAD IF THE CIRC PUMP IS PUSHING WATER AROUND THE MAIN LOOP WITH MANY RAD'S FEEDING VERTICALLY?

    THANKS,
    JERRY
