Anyone ever installed one of these, or know where I can get a set of directions that aren't in 5 languages other than american? I'm wondering of you're supposed to remove the plastic sleve that comes on the valve body where the t-static head goes... not the shipping cap but the little collar with numbers on it. Thanks in advance

no
The dial with #'s on it is the flow setting. Should be on set on N. Most are shiped that way. the head is pushed on and tightened. enjoy0 -
that's what I said...
the thermosttic head should be up @ 5 or you will have to stand stand on your head to read it....

Sorry
i was talking about the flow adjuster on the radiator, not the nonelectric head...The head slips over the flow adjuster. Yes the head should be on a 5 to put it on but the flow adjuster can be adjusted 1-7 or N. N is for nonelectric and you set it on N to use the head. The no was to the first question on if the flow adjuster should be removed. have fun...0 -
Don't,
Screw the cap on too tight.
When using the caps that are shipped with the radiators,(red or yellow usually) set the dial at the "N" position,to line up with the slightly dished spot on the inside of the brass threads.(it differs from rad.-to rad. and isn't always in the same spot!!!!
If the cap is screwed down tight, it restricts the flow. It should only be turned on to protect the stem from being pushed in. Lessons learned the hard way. Chris0 -
AHA
I never new what N was stood for.
Thanks

Buderus Panel Radiators have a flow setter valve shipped installed on every radiator. the "N" stands for full flow, number 1 is the least flow and more flow as the dial is increased to 7.
When using multiple Panel Radiators (with or without the thermostatic heads) The first radiator should be set at a lower number and then gradually increased for each additional radiator. This will assist the radiators in heating equally throughout the zone (also know as "balancing"). As stated in an earlier post, screwing the red or yellow SHIPPING cap in too tight will affect flow.
