From the Ideal Fitter, 1920, the W-15-5 has an 8 hour rating in sq. ft. of 700 for hot water. This converts to 105,000 Btu/h (700 x 150)and is based on 120lbs of hard coal burned in that 8 hour period. There are calculations for determining outputs based on 6 (1055 sq ft), 10 (635 sq ft), and 12 (530 sq ft) hour burns as well. The 8 hour calculation comes up with 795 sq ft vs. the published 700 and I can't determine why the difference. Probably a safety factor was built in. Anyway, I hope this information helps.0
