hi on the g115 model 28 the d.o.e Heating capacity is 98,000 btu.
my load is about 53,000. but next year I want to add indirect water heater and in 2 years a small addition on the house. if I have my contractor remove the baffle plates and put a smaller nozzle on the burner. will that bring me to around 78,000 btu.
and next year when I add my hot water heater I can have them put back in to bring it back up to 98,000 I just don't want to short cycle the burner this year.
thanks

don't do it...
it is not that "oversized". Messing around with the baffles and down firing are not a good plan w/ the 115. kpc

hi kevin so even with this year my load is 53,000 without indirect 85,000 ibr will not short cycle my burner?
thanks0 -
Dont underfire the burner.
We are already underfired a little. Adding a indirect doesnt change your demand. We drive the indirect with enough btu@ the right gpm that the heat isnt off for that long.0
