An irish buderus

Had a wiel mclain 368 w/ a coil. Prep time was four hours and installed in eight. The g115/21 fit in like a glove. The propress works perfect everytime and makes the job fly. Got 320n/s a 12.6 co2 and 89.2 eff. I would like to see a higher stack but I this will run great. This burner is one of the new realo burners that have a .50 80 b. the realos with the .50 70 a ran with a 350n/s with the side baffles turned. The 80 b nozzle runs at 320 with the side baffles removed. Amazing how differant they are. The B seems quieter than the A nozzle. Yes that is an s-120 inderect tank........more jobs coming, fun,fun,fun.....PS attached another job just for kicks.

To exactly quote a respondee from along forgotten post,....."I dig those battery pumps". I hope your electrician wires as good as you pipe. Great job!0 -
look close
This boiler is running right now (as seen in the picture). Wired and fired. I hope this means you like my wiring (if it can't be seen easily). I realy try to hide the wires, I think it looks better that way. Thanks for all the kind words, it is good motivation for the next job we do.0 -
Irish, huh?
Can't be an Irish Buderus. No beer anywhere near the burner. You do a real nice job Mellow. Although Ron jr. might get a complex seeing all those wide open basements.......0 -
Very nice job
Looks irish enough for this Leprechaun0 -
Looks nice and neat. 89.2% is that a typo???0 -
Nice work
But I don't get the Irish part

Shouldn't that be 87.6%
You might have some condensation running the G115 that high. I gad my G115 setup by an inexperienced oil tech and he had me running too high (about 89%) as I recall for one heating season. The chamber & passages were filled with white scale and needed a cleaning badly after that. The BF (balanced flue) also had white deposits within it.

Buderus install
Very nice job. Just out of curiousity, why do you use a spirovent? the way you pipe this, air shouldn't be a problem. I really like the concealed wiring. Todd0 -
Joe
What would you want to see for settings with the g-115/21? I have installed alot of them and have one next week to do. The realos with the .50 70 A Worked well with the boiler as shiped. 350 12co2 87eff but the new realos with the.50 80 B have a 270 degree stack temp when shiped. I have to pull both baffles to get up to 320-330. Do we have to pull all the baffles on every job, just to get it hot enough? I have not removed the middle baffle yet so........ This has been the readings I have been stuck with on the new burners and would like to set them better. Everyone I talk to sayes it depends on the job and I know that but I have the same results on most every job. I know that some of the problem is oversized chimneys but I would have to install a liner for everyone or remove baffles to run like the 70 A. This dosen't seem right..........Thanks in advance.0 -
Nice job Mellow
Looks like you luck out every time with a wide open basement to install in . Is most of your work new construction homes ? Keep it up .0 -
I still don't get the Irish part.
Nice looking clean install Mr. Mellow.
Efficiency too high?

we are all alittle irish
I just needed to send the pics to my boss and I did not think he would miss the irish in the post. He is the greenest man I know. The spyrovent saves me time and money. The parts I save doing the job right, I cash in so... I can buy things like low water cut offs and yes spyrovents .....It's amazing the money you save when you take out things that should not be there or cause problems. I have had great luck with spyrovent and most of my systems are high temp and older homes with problems. I do not have to worry about air anymore on a new system. thanks again0 -
Not everyone's Irish.
Certainly not Buderus. Some of us are even Scottish;-)
I like the Spirovents too. Even though you don't need it the way you pipe your boilers.
Again; nice job. Take a look at my post above that shows what will happen if you continue to run the G series at above the sticker efficiency. Go ahead & run it up at that high E. Can't say I didn't warn you.
Joe, What sayith you? How's Lou diong?

Irish Buderus
I'm going to help my Mr. Mellow out here with an explanation of why he is referring to irish buderus. I just recently spent some time visiting my son and daughter in Germany and had asked him to post some pictures of the job he just recently installed. In order to get my attention while visiting he made the heading irish buderus so I would see it. I did see it the day he completed the job as he posted it that night. I know mellow does great work because I am his boss. The name of my company is Ireland Oil Co so you can see the connection. Thanks for the responses because I know it will give mellow inspiration to do even better work. Dave Logan0 -
Looks good, but
The Spirovent is going in the wrong direction, they do not put an arrow on the vent, so you have to look at the diagram that comes in the box, it should always go with the direction of the flow. Unless you use one by ITT or B&G

spirovent
Spirovent can be installed in either direction. Every hydronic system should have one.In the five years we've been installing them not one air in system recall.0
