i have two new 330 gallons oil tanks we are installing in a school. i was planning on coming out of the tanks and tie into one 1/2" steel pipe, run to the two smith 1,000,000 btu boilers (each is 1 mill btu) tee the 1/2" pipe and reduce to the pipe size on the burner. will 1/2" be large enough or is there a book or something i can buy which helps with sizing? the run is about 20' and will run along the floor.

oil piping
Need to be careful here.......... 2 pipe system or 1 pipe? TGS (total gearset) ((Gearset capacity)) of each pump if 2 pipe will pass through suction line. Should be gravity feed if tanks are same height as burners and you will get away with 1 pipe. Webster and Suntec and Tuthill and Hayes all have charts to go by. As long as you have the right info to put in first. Good Luck.0
