Ruud Service

I've never worked on these old heaters before and all the old timers that knew how are either dead or have moved out of the state.

I have a 95 year old customer who I'll be visiting later this week who has one that only provides hot water for a few minutes and then the water turns tepid or cold.

Can someone give me any pointers on where to start? There must be some kind of water valve that turns on the burner when there's a sense of water flow.

Alan

    If you can...

tell me what model you have, I probably can get you the service instructions for it. There is a fair amount to look at. I know this is a neanderthal approach, but if you have a fax?...
ps. Check the water motor for free operation and good movement. That would be the first suspect!
