Is there any type of pipe dope used on the push nipples when putting sections of CI hot water baseboard together? If so what is the name of it. If not and there is a small drop of water every once in awhile droping from between the sections what can be used to seal this? Thank you for any help you can give me.

permatex
schmear the pushnipples with permatex. if you have a drip on installed radiation you could try adding a can of base hit chemical to the system.0 -
What is "base hit chemical" which would be added to system. If this is done, does it clog up the bleeder valves at the end of the radiators? Thanks.
