Wood above subfloor infloor heating

Have you had good experiences installing infloor radiant above a wood subfloor with wood furring and aluminum heat transfer plates (I'm trying to describe this as genericly as possible)?
How is the response. Will on/off control work OK?

You can do on-off if you use PEX-AL-PEX to limit tubing expansion and give the tubing a little wiggle room at the bends/floor penetrations.
However I would strongly encourage you to use some kind of mixing such as variable speed injection to take full advantage of the lower water temperatures above the floor apps can get you.
Also if your heat load is high, consider a heavier plate like thermofin U. If not lightweight plates can probably do the job just fine, if you get decent ones.
We have a lot of jobs like this out there, no noise at all, good performance.

The water will be heated by a ground source water-to-water heat pump, so the temperaure is limited (120ish).0 -
well, a heat load calc can tell you about what water temps you're looking at, sounds like you need to do one.
