have central air conditioning, you already have a dehumidifier and it should be adequate if the A/C is sized properly.
Depending on the construction of the home, additional humidification may not be required. Consult with the local wholesaler rgarding capacity for a humidifier. Tell them what you have, and they can usually recommend one. Just make sure you can connect it to your ductwork.

    dehumidifier

What is the source of the moisture that you are going to try to remove with a dehumidifier? The Aprilaire 1700 appears to be a good whole house unit. Do you need this or is a single room the problem?

    Condensing

Most condensing furnaces are sealed combustion so that is one less humidity stealer. You won't know if you need a humidifier until this winter, some people have tight houses, lots of plants and lots of showers and lots of unvented cooking ect. and the humidity is fine. I have a condensing furnace in a well insulated but still a 1970 house and I need one to keep the humidity above 35% in the winter where most people find it comfortable. You can always add a humidifier, if you get one buy the outdoor sensor so you don't need to mess with it and plan on changing the water panel and cleaning it once a year.

    humidifier

we've tried the major brands of panel types and they all have +and- things on them. if you want something that works really well you should geta Nortec. they are pricy but superior in everyway
