    I have a black leather sofa approx. 2" in front of my forced hot water baseboard and haven't had a problem. I would guess the other colors would be fine but can't say for sure. I don't know of any problem that came from anything being to close to a forced hot water baseboard......BB

    2 inches is fine and the only thing that might happen with lighter colors is gosting where the air that rises up, which incluses dust and dirt etc... in small amounts can discolor your lighter colors over time.
