Add a hydronic loop to existing hw baseboard?

I would like to add a hydronic loop to my existing hot water baseboard system. The current setup is a Taco 007-BF5-J (1/25 hp) circulator serving three zones of ¾” copper baseboard, (50’, 75’ and 75’ loops). The Sentry S-90 (90K input) boiler has worked great since I installed it 2 years ago. I just finished remodeling the kitchen, dinning area and powder rooms. My wife did not want me reinstall the HW baseboard in these areas, so I thought I could use an under floor loop of PEX to heat these areas. I plan to use a Taco 0010-F3 (1/8 hp) circulator and a tempering valve to limit input temperature to the 250’ loop. In order to hook up the tempering valve properly, I will need a cold leg at higher pressure than the return side. I plan to have both pumps discharge through flow checks into the boiler, with a tap for the tempering valve. I had a friend look at the drawing, and he thought that the more powerful pump would force the check valve closed on the weaker one. I think that the high head pump is required for the PEX loop, but if I used a similar pump on the HW baseboard, it would be noisy.
