Any ideas how to loosen one, stubborn black pipe that leads into my boiler? I am replacing two rusted ones and the last one that heads into the boiler will not budge!

try to heat just the fitting and if you want wrap a wet rag around the pipe , a snipe on the wrench for extra leverage will help to , or if the whole fitting is exposed if its cast and not malable steel smack the fitting with 2 hammers 1 on each side the fitting will shatter without damageing the threads on the other side of the fitting, make sure its cast steel though beforew trying this or you will make it harder remove

    boiler pipe

See if you can find a place locally that will rent you somthing called a "compound leverage pipe wrench" There is no chance that these 36" wrenches with a x4 torque multiplier wont do the job. Just remember not to use them on a piece of pipe without a fitting on the othe end or you will simply crush the pipe.
