I don't think there is an answer to your question - alot would depend on the environment of the installation, the water quality, runtime of the system, and so on.
I have seen tanks last for 20+ years, and have seen them fail after just a few years. Biggest thing from a maintenance standpoint is to make sure the air charge is proper, if it's a diaphragm style tank. Air can migrate through the diaphragm at a rate of about 1 PSI per year. If it is a standard steel tank with no diaphragm, then you just need to make sure the tank does not become waterlogged.
