I've heard the Hydronic Institute standard is that published, non-certified centrifugal pump curves are +/- 5%. Is this a fact and is it +/- on head, flow or both?

    It shouldn't matter for small shifts. Shifting the curve up is the same as shifting it left, shifting it down is the same as shifting it right. (Try drawing it and see. Pivot the curve about the origin.)
