They are much better now.

And what do you mean by switching to hydronic. Thats what you have now. Do you mean hydro-air???

    Quality of Munchkins

We have a boiler that currently circulates 180 degree water to radiators in 22-room hotel. The water is so hot because distribution lines in the ground are suspected to not be insulated, and the radiators may be a bit under sized. We may switch to hydronic heating in a couple of years, but we need to replace the boiler now. We have had a pair of Munchkins recommended to us. I hear about problems with the early models, but the recommenders say that they are doing much better now. Agree/disagree?

    The quality of the boiler....

is not nearly so important as the quality of the installer and the people that are backing him up.......there are many boilers out there that are of very good quality, the Munchie is one of them, however, they are no better than the people responsible for installing and servicing them.
That holds true for any boiler......or vehicle...or A/C unit or.....you get my drift.
    Get references.....

By switching, I meant from baseboard radiators to in-floor heating.
