munchkin concentric question

Just have a question about diagram showing air inlet y fitting most be facing up ward are there any other acceptable methods of installing with the air inlet y facing down with a drain and trap to drain essive moisture .I ask all this because installing the concrtric fitting in a joist space does not allow for the air inlet to be located on the top any input pro's or con'swould be helpfull peace clammy

    The main reason is that we do nto want any wind blown

    water to be able to get to the Munchkin. You do not have to keep it facing straight up. You can position it it between 3 and 9 o'clock. So you could have one side of the concentric up againg one of the floor joist so a sto provide space to position the y tee.

    If you were to install a drain then it would no longer be a direct vented applicance. If at all posible position it as I have said and it should fit fine. Let me know how you make out. jc

    Thank you for thr info just want to do it right the time also if your following htp piping diagrams your boiler pump is discharging into the boiler and your indirect tank is piped off the supply before connecting to the system giving you priority by shutting off the boiler pump ?Iam getting the vision one controller also should be arriving next week thanks jeff ps she already down the basement with the buderus st150 peace clammy
