Thanks Steve
I appreciate your thinking about us.
We only got 30mph "breezes" from the outer edges here.
Three very close friends in N.O., Gulf Shores AL, and Dauphin Island weren't so lucky. As you all know, there were mass evacuations over 300 miles of coastal areas, from Grand Isle LA. to Pensacola FL. and there is an 80% loss of power & phones, so getting specific word back is sketchy.
I do know, that Dauphin Island could not possibly withstand a 15ft storm surge. It's really only a sand bar, so there is lots of starting over to do. I feel for the folks there, they are mostly elderly, hardworking people who put there life savings into those homes.
The worst I got, was a spider bite which gave me a case of blood poisoning. I woke up wed morning looking like I'd been bitten an extra 200 times all over my body (very painful in the underpants :O)
I'm seriously considering leaving this place. Anyone need a hydronic helper with a lightning fast learning curve, and great mechanical, electrical and plumbing abilities?
Thanks again for thinking of us down here.
Brian, Tankless in Louisiana.

Thanks Alan
It really means a lot to know that folk out there care.
We get hurricanes, up north get horrible winters, midwest & central U.S. gets tornado's, and the left coast gets earthquakes. I guess mother nature just distributes the grief (and the joy) in her own way
The south does has it's attractions though; 4.5 cents KWH, $1.65 reg gas, and this is where my pride and joy is. So I'll stay here till she can come with me.
Thanks again, guys.
Remember, "Have tools, will travel".
Current temp' 94.5 F, and no end in sight

Thanks for caring, Alan
All we got here were some 30mph "breezes", and some traffic jams from **** (18 hrs to drive the 212 miles west, from N.O. to Lake Charles). I-10, hwy 190 & hwy 90 west, were like rivers of vehicles.
No word from Dauphin Island, AL. (all power & phones are out), but I just KNOW that there's not a house standing there. If crying for my friends would help, I'd cry. I believe Led Zeppelin said something similar. No levies can stand against 135 mph wind & rain.
If I could take my sweetheart with me, I'd leave. She just turned 7 and lost her two front teeth; major milestone, eh?
Y'all take care out there, and remember, "Have truck & tools, will travel".
Brian, in breezy, humid & hot (94.5 F) swampland.
