my basement has enough combustion air to supply the burner
a test was done on my hot air furnace that i have now. it is power vented.

my question is do i need to go with the riello BF3 or can i go with the 40 F3 this way i wont have cross contamantion

i could just cap the air intake with the concentic vent kit
or go with the other vent kit the AEROCOWL VENT would this work

thanks

    well John....

I hate to give you more bad news...but no. If you don't draw in outdoor air you won't have the balanced flue effect you are trying to/ must achive...Have you talked with your installer about your concerns? I thing that is the best thing to do because he can see the situation, I can't I am sure there is a way to get this to work...kpc

    No No

No , you need to install it to the manufactures specs to pass code . You need the BF with the post purge and you need the intake to maintain the same proper stactic pressure through the boiler all year long .Thus balanced flue. Use the field if a second seperate air take is not possible. Cross contamination is a "concern" but not a given problem... Please don't screw around for a couple of dollars . Why take a chance with carbon monoxide .......

please talk to him he might not bite. This is a chance that you have to take!!!! The best boilers get installed when the installer knows what the customer wants and what he wants to know. Yes get some info here but the installer needs to put the system in safely. Treat him like gold cause he is there and can tell you what would fit your house and why. Ask for options and I bet he will not shutup about all the stuff that you are buying and can buy. Every house is differant and somethings work better than others. good luck and tell me if he bites.......
