A few months ago I saw a thread about a interface between a heating controller and network. I have a customer who want to play with heating system via his computer. If anyone know a link I would be grateful.

Thanks

    maybe Tekmar?

Most companies that specialize in DDC controls offer a package as well, but pricey

    Heres one.

For the computer savy, these are ok. For most people, they can get a bit overwhelming. Give it a shot. Chris

    Computer no, but...

Touchtone phone, YES! Both the PC8900/W8900 Home Control and the Enviracom Networked Zoning system, with the optional telephone access module allow for temperature change, system status change, freeze warning, and system checks. Available from most Honeywell distributors.

    Remote heating access

With Caleffi's iRadiant controls you can provide a simple stand alone control for low cost installations, or create a local network that can accomodate not only heating but and other HVAC applicaton, and then if you want, with either a dial up ot Web address, you can access all of the system over the Internet. The system automatically creates web pages that let you graph every control point, or even change any or all system settings.

You can also receive emails if there are any system alamrms or through any web enabled device , it can page you and tell you the exact nature of the problem. Not a bad feature to prevent freeze ups or flashing a boiler system, not to mention that heating and airconditioning are controlled by the same thermostat.

Very very cost effective as well. Take a look at www.caleffi.us and go to the iRadiant controls under the Building automation section. Any questions, give the company a call.
