    My Old Boiler

I just finished installing a Weil Mclain Ultra to replace this thing. It is a Mt. Hawley 700 according to the label. I was curious if anyone has seen anything like this before and would have an idea of how old it is. I was surprized to see just how little there is to the heat exchanger. No wonder it cost me so much to heat this place! Here are a couple of pics

    Boiler

Can't be sure of the date, but it looks like a swimming pool heater or a newer low mass boiler. Probably a pool heater that was used for a house. They really haven't changed much over the years, so dating is difficult.

Here you go - No fancy controls, or pretty copper. Just black pipe feeding an old gravity system. I do want to thank Floyd, Boilerpro, and everyone else for all the info I received from you guys. I had planned on helping a HVAC friend of mine put this in but he got busy so I ended up doing all the work myself. If you're wondering about the extra T's on the output or the flo-control, I am planning on adding an indirect hot water tank next summer. Figured I'd get it ready for that now.
