Can I ask for full support and best wishes for the Euro Ryder Cup team?
No..........? Oh well!! I can only hope the American team bring their strong cough sweets?
Regards.

Oakland Hills is just a few miles from where I work. I am taking different routes to work the first two days this week and then I'm out of town on business from Weds-Sat. I'll be able to avoid the mayhem. A friend of mine is head of the Oakland County road commission whose job it is to control traffic around the course -- he has a busy week.
Last weekend shuttle buses took thousands of souvenir seekers to a special store set up to sell Ryder Cup merchandise. I thought about going -- for only a brief moment.

Quite frankly
Jimmy, after the fiasco at The Country Club, I was in the European camp. They seem much more team oriented.
All the talk by my fellow Americans of wanting to get paid and settling for "donations" to their favorite charities also turned me off.
I am nuetral this year and only cheer for good matches and even better sportsmanship. I hope Detroit treats both sides with respect, but especially one of my favorites Mr. Montgomery.
May the best team win.0 -
Monty
Thanks for your reply, It's a bit sad Monty is the only Scot playing, however I think it will be great viewing on the telly.
Please don't be to hard on the American players, they have only a short spell at the top, so earning money at this point in their lives is very important.
As for the sportsmanship, it's always the winners that are accused of bad sportsmanship.
So come out fighting and I want to see a good clean fight.
Kind regards.

Sorry John, I can only feel sorry for you with all that traffic.
So you're not going to buy the special Ryder Cup lemon and pink plus-fours then? A must for any self respecting golfer.
Regards.

Golf.
Yes, golf is a great sport. But as I've stated here before, I don't think the men and women that starting playing the game in St Andrews many, many years ago would approve of the dress code.
I find it very funny, my step-son was playing a round at our local course the other day. Another member approached him dressed in a pink pull-over, green slacks & white golf shoes and demanded he tuck in his shirt!
Oh well, as Robin Williams once said ''golf is the only sport where white men can dress like black pimps''
Thnaks for reading.
Kind regards.

Jimmy,
If you've never seen Robin Williams skit on "The invention of golf" I highly suggest you do. LOL funny! Chris0 -
