Near boiler piping

Hello everyone,
I am in the process of redoing the near boiler piping following manufacturer's recommendations with a few "upgrades"
Upgrade #1 - Oversized the header from minimum recommended 2" to 3" as the boiler has two 2" risers.
Upgrade #2 - Installed a drop header to further ensure 98% quality steam.
Upgrade #3 - Installed two system take-offs rather than a single 2" recommended as to ease connection to exsting "U" shaped main.
I am also going through the trouble of pitching the risers and drop header albeit it becomes somewhat difficult to make connection to the equalizer. The header consists of two 2"x3" elbows with four 3'x2" Ts in between. Will it be a detriment to the system operation if the drop header is not pitched? I am aware that the steam and condensate are traveling in the same direction and the header length is about 24".
I would like to verify that there are no leaks in any of the near boiler piping. Upon completed connections to boiler, I was considering using plugging one of the system Ts. The remaining T would have multiple bushings for reducing from th 2" to 1/4 NPT air hose connection. I would pressurize the boiler to 5 psi - readily visible by the boiler gauge - using the air coompressor. Any suggestions?

Near boiler piping
Using both tappings on the boiler is the way to go then increase them from say 2 to 2 1/2 or 2 1/2 to 3 and remenber to run the equilizer at 2 inch all the way to the return tapping on the boiler use tees instead of ells on some of the wet returns so they can be flushed out .Pitching the drop header isn't totally important if you riser up to your mains is high enough and your pipes are large enough it should not be a promblem of course you will be insulating it .As for the air pressure teat i don't think it would help and may ber a waste of time and engerny you may not have leaks with air pressure but when the piping heats up and expands that's when steam leaks show up and you should only be running at 2 psi max .You are doing this in steel pepi right peace and good luck here's apic of a drop header from last year clammy p.s. i did insulate every thing after i steamer her up real goodR.A.
