\"sharing\" an outdoor sensor?

Hi, I'm installing a Tekmar 070 outdoor sensor to control reset on my new radiant zones- an injection system using the Weil-Mclain packaged panel which uses a Tekmar mixing control w/outdoor reset. I eventually want to integrate a Tekmar 260 to reset temps for my full size rads, and it also can be used to outdoor temp display on my tekmar 512 thermostat.

Question is, can I wire all these in series off on one 070 or do I need to use a separate 070 for each function? Thanks.

    NO

You can't run them in series, but if Tim Doran is hanging around here he can tell you about a new Wirsbo product the may be able to help you out.

I don't think so. Those sensors work by varying resistance with temperature. The controls and thermostat work by measuring that resistance. If, say, you install that thermostat, the controller will measure the resistance of the sensor and that thermostat combined in parallel and will give you a false reading. Dito the other way: The thermostat can't read true.

    071

You can't use one sensor, but you could use one enclosure. You can put additional 071 sensors in the 070 enclosure. You still have to run the wires, but at least you don't have a bunch of white boxes on the wall.
